Too bad the glasses are so unflattering, though.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03885718073330722181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33758604.post-1160191150601032952006-10-06T20:19:00.000-07:002006-10-06T20:19:00.000-07:00I enjoyed the far side reference. The old ladies ...I enjoyed the far side reference. The old ladies really do wear those glasses! In fact, I think those are the only glasses they sell on the far side, which really makes glasses shopping on the far side a no brainer. You should just move to the far side.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33758604.post-1159997269054613502006-10-04T14:27:00.000-07:002006-10-04T14:27:00.000-07:00Thanks. I'm going with my mom tonight, since she's also looking for new frames, but if I don't find anything tonight (and I kind of suspect I won't, since I'm really just going to a different LensCrafters, which might just have the same ones), I'm going to need backup.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03885718073330722181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33758604.post-1159996131671803512006-10-04T14:08:00.000-07:002006-10-04T14:08:00.000-07:00If you want, I will come lens-fitting with you. Sales ladies have always hated me, and that is why you can trust me. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33758604.post-1159985208342390822006-10-04T11:06:00.000-07:002006-10-04T11:06:00.000-07:00See, this is why you are smart. But it seems that the contacts are going to take longer--fittings, blah blah blah--and I'm impatient about getting new frames. Except that I haven't found ones I like yet, so maybe not.

I went to Next Eyewear, and it's a nice little store, but they didn't really have anything I'd actually wear. Like, in everyday life. I think it's back to either LensCrafters or Kaiser for me.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03885718073330722181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33758604.post-1159941543085554102006-10-03T22:59:00.000-07:002006-10-03T22:59:00.000-07:00I took Kristin F. with me for moral support. Though that wasn't really a good idea because she's ten times worse than I am when it comes to decision making.

But one very cool thing was at Next Eyewear on College Ave. (fairly close to Hudson) They have a digital camera hooked up to a monitor. So they can take your photo with the glasses. Much different than looking at yourself in the mirror.

If you get your contacts first, then you can try on glasses with the contacts in--so you can see. It's a lot easier than squinting or looking at yourself in extreme closeup.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
